Music I’m Listening To — October
After a great month of music in September and the hot start of music in October, there are a lot of good songs going around right now. Some of these songs are new and some others are a little older but have been thought about at the moment because of some new songs.
Mr. Right Now — 21 Savage, Metro Boomin, and Drake
21 Savage and Metro Boomin have been in the news recently for their album ‘Savage Mode II’. One of the songs off of this album is ‘Mr. Right Now’ featuring Drake. In some people’s opinions, it is one of the best songs off of this new album. Metro creates a nice beat that fits 21 and Drake very nicely. 21 Savage has his hooks on this song and it starts off with his verse, as the song progresses Drake joins in with his verse and then joins the hook. Very good song from these 3 stars.
Pardon Me — Lil Yatchy and Future
Not too long ago, Lil Yatchy released his ‘Lil Boat 3'. This album was his 3rd part of his album series ‘Lil Boat’. It includes many features from artists like Tyler the Creator and Young Thug but one feature captures my attention. Future on ‘Pardon Me’ has one of his best verses of the year. It’s not even because of his flow or lyrics, it’s his whistle that takes the cake. Future’s whistle sounds godly and is the reason I enjoy this song so much. Yatchy also does solid on his verse but Future definitely carries this song.
Dolly — Lil Uzi Vert
Everybody was anticipating the song ‘Dolly’ featuring Lil Uzi Vert on Lil Tecca’s new album ‘Virgo World’ and they got it. Although it’s what we got it wasn’t the version that we wanted. Many claim that Tecca ruined the longly anticipated track from Lil Uzi. After heating it many went back to listen to this old track that only included Uzi and it is for sure much better. The Uzi that we get on Tecca’s version is very different from what we get on the leaked version.
SRT — Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti
Another leak that broke the internet was this song by Uzi and Carti. The reason for its hype is because of these 2 recently having beef and claiming not to be friends anymore. This is one of the best duos in today’s rap game after having previous success together. This song is about cars and flexing money and includes a fun video game type beat. It is definitely a leak many people were happy to see and gives people hope for this duo to reunite.
Nuts — Lil Peep and Lil Skil
The late Lil Peep here has a depressing leak. Although all of Lil Peep’s songs are pretty sad a depressing it has another factor considering the fact that he isn’t here anymore. This song has recently been popular on TikTok for its sad feel. It also includes a feature from Lil Skil who I have never heard before. For my first time hearing her she definitely delivers a really nice hook on this track and gives me a reason to possibly check out her other music.
Some of these songs have a feel that gets you happy and others have a song that a depressing feel. All these songs are great though being put on repeat from people all around.
