My Top 7 favorite Playboi Carti Songs

One of my favorite artists right now is Playboi Carti. Carti has risen to fame in the past few years because of his different style that sets him apart from the rest. While we are waiting on him to drop some new music I thought I would give my top 7 favorite songs by him. This list will not include any leaks or unreleased tracks just ones released on streaming platforms.

7. Uh Uh — with Chief Keef

Uh Uh’ off of Keef’s album ‘Mansion Musick’ is a classic in my opinion. Chief Keef is one of the greats in the rap game and combining him with Carti makes for a great track. Pierre Bourne creates the beat for this song and the instrumental is really unique as it gives off a dark feel but sustains an upbeat sound lyrically.

6. Long Time — Intro

The song ‘Long Time’ is an intro for Carti’s album ‘Die Lit’. It focuses on his come up to fame and how it took him a long time to get where he is. This is a great song to start his album with because it puts the listener into a laid back vibe until he really gets into it.

5. Kelly K

I have been listening to this song for a while now. Off Carti’s self-titled album ‘Kelly K’ is a very underrated song in my opinion. I feel like it doesn’t get the love that it deserves. Carti flexes everything he has on this track which really reflects his lifestyle. The beat on this song is fun and the track is overall pretty catchy.

4. Fell in Luv — feat. Bryson Tiller

Another song from ‘Die Lit’ is ‘Fell in Luv’ featuring Bryson Tiller. Tiller is a pro when it comes to R&B rapping and this song is an example of it. If it’s a love song with Bryson Tiller it’s always a classic. Playboi Carti on this track is also fire though. This duo I thought was a great combination and it gives the album for variety. The instrumentals like every song on this list are also great.

3. Get Dripped — with Lil Yachty

The best beat on this list has to be from ‘Get Dripped’. Off of Lil Yatchy’s album ‘Nuthin’ 2 Prove,’ this song has a fun video game type beat that is just so satisfying to listen to. The lyrics might not be the greatest on this song but the adlibs and beat just make it a great song. Carti’s baby voice also fits the track very well and the flow he raps with is super clean.

2. No Time — feat. Gunna

Off his most recent album ‘Die Lit’, the track ‘No Time’ is one of Carti’s best pieces of work. It features Gunna who is also a very talented artist. The way they go back and forth in this song fits so well and transitions so smoothly. The beat is also perfect for these 2 artists. The way it continually fits the verses from Carti and Gunna it just so good.

  1. New Choppa — feat. A$AP Rocky

This is my favorite track from Carti. This song comes from his self titled album ‘Playboi Carti’ and features A$AP Rocky who is also one of my favorites. If you put these 2 on a song together there isn’t a chance that I won’t enjoy it. Carti sets up Rocky’s verse and then Rocky gives in my opinion one of his best verses ever. Both of these artists body this beat and make a track that may not get a lot of love but is one of my favorite songs.

Carti is one of the most influential artists in today’s music industry. From his style to the way he talks people admire him and look up to him. ‘Die Lit’ was one of the best albums of 2018 and we now wait for his next album whenever that will be. If you enjoyed this blogpost leave feedback in the comments and tell me some music I should look into.
